Sach Ka Samna!

“Would you have physical relationship with some other man, if your husband does not come to know about it at all?”, “Have you peed in the Swimming pool in your childhood days?” – these are not questions from an American television show, but from our own Star plus. This program ‘Sach Ka Samna’ (which has been inspired from the American tv show ’Moment of Truth’) is a reality show in which people need to answer the truth for a set of questions. Their anwers during the show are compared to the polygraphic test results (which are conducted before itself) and if they tell a lie at any point in the game, they lose.
For those who have not heard about a polygraph, let me take the help of Wikipedia – “A polygraph (popularly referred to as a lie detector) is an instrument that measures and records several physiological responses such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, breathing rhythms, body temperature and skin conductivity while the subject is asked and answers a series of questions, on the theory that false answers will produce distinctive measurements”
There are many controversies regarding its use and validities, let us not get into those. Let me give one or two controversies due to this show. Vinod Kambli got into a controversy because of his “YES” to the question “Do you believe that Sachin could have done more to save you from your self-destructive behaviour?”. A lady was asked a question “”Would you have physical relationship with some other man, if your husband does not come to know about it at all?”, for which she gave a ‘NO’. Curse her fate, the polygraph results said otherwise. The cameras were swift enough to zoom on her husband’s face. He was on the verge of crying and the embarrassment was very obvious.
This program has gained a lot of attention (both positive and negative) in the past few weeks. In fact our politicians consider this show to be more important than people’s problems, that they have raised a furor in Rajya Sabha regarding this show. I was just thinking whether the politicians would cross even the first question
. Imagine a question posed to a politician “Have you ever misused your power for personal reasons?”, “Have you ever received a bribe?”, “Have you ever attacked a person physically, just because he opposed you?”, “Have you ever committed a murder?”… I doubt if 99% of the politicians would even pass the first question. What say??
We need not feel sad for the humiliation faced by the contestants, as they participated in this program on their own wish and were ready to face the music! If this program gives some pleasure to you, watch it. Else, just switch off the TV and go to sleep
.

Rajni MANIAC!!!
The popularity of our Super * (haiyo… haiyo) has spread to South Africa as well. If you got to see Proteas’ pacer Ntini during net practice, he showed the BABA MUDRA…When I saw that pic for the first time, I thought it to be a coincidence. But, various articles confirmed that Ntini is a RAJNI FAN.
Here is the article reg this in YAHOO NEWS…
“Looks like the Rajini mania has spread as far and wide till South Africa.
The visiting South African team’s fast bowler Ntini has recently confessed his obsession to the superstar’s movies and his style in particular. Ntini sure seems to be fond of Rajinikanth’s style statements and demonstrates the actor’s famous finger tricks for Baba.
Besides, he makes people drop their jaw by imitating the ‘Peraketaale Summa Adirudilla’ tagline from the last year blockbuster Sivaji flawlessly that stands proof to the number of times he watched the movie.
Apart from Sivaji, Ntini also declares that he has watched Baba many times from where he picked up the finger gesticulation. Ntini’s revelation has earned him many amused fans in Chennai where he is stationed along with his team for the first test cricket series against India.”
This is a proud news for all RAJNI fans…

The humorous ‘DELHI’ Ganesh…
It was a pleasant and enjoyable evening for the people assembled at the auditorium in Shrimathi Indra Gandhi College, trichy. The occasion was ‘Associations day’ and the chief guest was none other than DELHI Ganesh. After the welcome speech was made, the chief guest was invited to speak. I was eagerly expecting as to what he is going to speak. He spoke for about 20-25 mins. I tell you, for the entire length of the speech, I was rolling with laughter. He shared with us his funny experiences while shooting with snakes, elephants etc. When my mom mentioned about his character in AVVAI SHANMUGHI, I could see a glow in his face. He also gave some valuable piece of advice to the students and others who were present. We know that he is a great comedian, actor and villan, but what people dont know is that he is extremely simple and down to earth. When he got down at the end of the function, he came near me for taking a pic! (Remember, it was I who had requested for a pic with him thru my mom)I can never forget his sense of humour and simplicity, a great combination.
On the whole, the evening was memorable for everyone present in the auditorium.
