Chak de India !!!
The hot topic of discussion now is the problem between India and Australia. If you take the first test, Aussies deserved a win genuinely. Whereas in the second test, it was like a 11 member Indian squad against a 14 member (including 2 umpires and match refree) Aussy squad. They say that ‘To err is human’, but, it is a mistake only if it is done once or twice. If you keep on doing the same mistake, doubts arise naturally and thats what happened in the Bucknor case. It was extremely irritating to see the umpire being passive to Dhoni’s appeal for Stumping. I dont know what prevented him from referring to the third umpire.
It is really unbeleivable that an umpire like Bucknor is giving such foolish decisions. The ‘caught behind’ of Symonds in Ishant’s over is an example and many more. Experts say that, its psychology(giving decisions in favour of the stronger side). Whatever it may be, it is not at all fair to consult Ponting on whether Ganguly’s wicket was taken properly or not. Obviously, he would tell in his team’s favour. The video of Ponting raising his finger and the umpire following suit is sheer atrocity. Then, what is the use of 3rd umpire, video replays etc.
I feel that technologically Cricket has to advance. That is, use of video replays etc should be more frequent. The batsmen/bowler should be given the right to appeal against the umpire’s decision for a video replay(In tennis, the player can ask for a video replay if he has any doubts in the umpire). Of course, the number of appeals should be limited.
Coming to this Harbhajan issue, Aussies have no rights to cry like ‘Stupid Babies’, since they are the ones who introduced sledging. Once, aussies used the ‘under-arm’ bowling technique to win a match and that was the most humiliating incident in the history of cricket. Click the following link to see the under-arm incident – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K65_spUU05s
Harbhajan might have had a harsh word with Symonds, but the aussies are not angels. Ponting and the aussies know very well that the shout of Racism will definetly cause a big problem for Harbhajan. Remember Ponting is Harbhajan’s bunny (though he denies it continuosly and gets out in Bhajjies delivery only!)and he would have wanted to settled scores with bhajji, in this cheap manner. There is no evidence against Bhajji in this issue and why is that they are not considering Sachin’s statement.
The whole world knows that aussies are the ones who introduced sledging in cricket. Even now, you can see Brett Lee going to the batsmen(after bowling a delivery) and abuse him, with a smiling face. Now, Ponting has given a statement that they play the game “Hard and tough”. If this is what they term being tough, BULL SHIT!!! Ponting should learn from Kumble. He was so very irritated by the aussies, yet he just gave one statement “Only one team played with the spirit of the game”. Kumble hit the nail straight on Ponting’s head. The latter is famous for his ethics(?) – Pushing Mr. Pawar, Shouting at an Indian senior press reporter two days back and so on…
It was surprising to see that even Gilchrist(who is famous as a ‘Walker’), to appeal for Rahul Dravid’s wicket, which didnt touch the bat at all! I feel that they wanted to win this 16th consecutive test at ANY COST! This Sydney test match has to be annulled.
In the CNN IBN polls, about 96% wanted INDIAN team to come back. But, I am one of the 4% who wants INDIA to stay there and level the series. Since now, Bucknor has been removed and Bhajji restored to the squad, I feel that India has to bounce back, crush the Aussies and put an end to their dominance. Indians should make them taste crushing defeat! Let us hope Kumble bells the Aussy cat! CHAK DE INDIA !!!

Great show by Yuvi and Sourav
I was also one of the millions of disappointed fans, when India was struggling on 61 runs losing 4 wickets. The partnership between Yuvi and sourav was the only hope for India. Who said Yuvi is not fit for the longer version of the game – his innings was a feast to watch (slurp!). His shots were stlyish and the most important thing is that, the way in which he handled the pressure was simply amazing !
Coming to dada, his knock was also very fine, coming at the right time. Their partnership played a pivotal role today. Pakistan have to repent for their misfields, dropping Yuvi at 12. His brilliant knock of 169 runs proved him again. On being questioned about his inexperience in tests, he sharply retorted ” If I have to learn Test cricket, I should play more tests” – really true. He deserves to be in the squad for sure.
Lets hope India wins the series 2-0.

Phew !!! atlast Kumble is given a chance!
The news of Kumble being appointed as the Captain for the Indian Test team is one of the very few sensible decisions of our Cricket board. Kumble is a great cricketer with a huge test experience. This decision is a welcome one, contrary to the general opinion of having Batsmen as captain. It is not true that only batsmen can perform well as captains.
Kumble’s Test Career:
Matches: 118, Wickets: 566, 5 Wicket haul: 33 inns, 10 W haul :8 matches, Best bowling 10/74 … he s even scored a ton!
Coming to Dhoni, he is not experienced enough to handle tests. He needs to play more number of tests before leading the test team. I do accept that he is a good striker of the ball, but winning a WC ( 20-20) doesnt mean that, he is deserving for Test Captaincy…
Thank God! The selectors have made a wise decision atleast now… BETTER LATE THAN NEVER !!!

Cheers Yuvi!!!
The only pleasure in watching the 3rd ODI (IND vs AUS) was the classic knock of Yuvraj Singh. He scored a stylish 121 runs of 115 balls. The ease with which he sweeps the ball to boundary reveals his expertise in timing ( we can call him the SWEEPer!!!) his shots… The way in which he devastated the australian bowling was very pleasant to view… Except for Sachin & yuvi, no useful partnership was there. I think Yuvi is at the heights of his form… The way in which he answers the opponents with his bat is a lesson to Sreesanth, who lacks ethics in the field. Hope Yuvraj’s form continues to be a great pleasure for us in the forthcoming matches as well…
